The PCI StarFabric board provides the interface between the parallel PCI bus and the two serial StarFabric busses. Two variants of the board are available:

• For motherboards with 5V supply voltage. (No 3.3 V supply required.)
• For motherboards with 3.3V supply voltage. (No 5 V supply required.)

• StarFabric-Bridge CompactPCI Slave Board
  One or several of these boards are inserted in a device slot of a CompactPCI card rack with 3 U. The CompactPCI bus is the primary PCI bus. The StarFabric bus 0 is the first secondary PCI bus. The StarFabric bus 1 is the second secondary PCI bus.
  The Bridge board can either service two external bus systems or one external bus system with twice the speed.
  
  
• StarFabric-Bridge CompactPCI Master Board
  This board is inserted in the system slot of a CompactPCI card rack with3 U. The StarFabric bus 0 is the primary PCI bus. The StarFabric bus 1 is used to double the transfer rate.
  Four shielded cat5 cables of identical length with RJ45 connectors are required for 5 Gbit full duplex operation (66 MHz with 64-bit). The CompactPCI StarFabric board provides the interface between the serial StarFabric bus and the parallel CompactPCI bus.
