PCI Instruments

The PCI bus was developed by Intel. This is an intermediate bus located between the processor bus and the I/O bus. PCI slots are usually present on motherboards, numbering one to more than ten.

The PCI interface is 32-bit, with a 124-pin connector, or 64-bit, with a 188-pin connector. There are also two levels of signaling: 3.3 V and 5 V. The signaling voltage does not correspond to the supply voltage of the card but to the voltage thresholds for the digital coding of the information.
